All birds of paradise are extremely beautiful, and so is this Standardwing Bird of Paradise too. The Standardwing Bird of Paradise is also known as Wallace’s Standard wing and scientifically named the Semioptera Wallacii. They belong to the family Paradisaeidae.

Its violet-lilac crown and bright emerald vest make its appearance ravishing. However, all birds are attractive but this Standardwing Bird Of Paradise is one of the most charming birds in the entire bird kingdom.

The Standardwing Bird of Paradise is a medium-sized bird measuring around 11 inches in length. 

Males of standardwing Bird of Paradise have glossy violet-lilac crowns and an emerald green breast shield. Females are almost dull colored as compared to those males except for their beaks and feet, as their body is entirely brown and have longer tails than males.

They can also be found on the islands of Halmahera and Bacan in lowland tropical rainforests and hills. Occasionally they can also be seen in woodland.
