This is a touching story of an abandoned street dog with damaged eyes who was struggling for survival until Animal Help Unlimited came to his aid. When Animal Help Unlimited, India, was informed about a street canine in urgent need of assistance, they sent their rescuers to the site right away.
After arriving at the location, rescuers discovered a pet dog, who had been involved in an automobile accident. The dog was badly injured and could barely drag his body to move from one place to the other. All of us know that life on the streets is challenging every day. In a country like India where the stray dog population has exploded, fighting for existence or survival can be seen commonly.
According to the reports of Humane Culture, India consists of more than 30 million street dogs and also has the highest price of human fatality by rabies in the world. So many dogs often indulge in conflicts for food, shelter, and survival, resulting in severe injuries, pain, and death. This street dog, later named Dime, would have also been one of those incidents if Animal Aid Unlimited had not arrived in time.
After looking at Dime’s damaged eye, rescuers rushed to the vet, willing to provide him with an immediate medical facility. He underwent several medical tests, and it was revealed that he had lost his eye in a car accident. Thankfully, his face was not damaged.
To prevent him from further infection, vets had to remove his one eye. Everyone was working tirelessly to help this poor pup to regain health. Vets stated that it is a tough time for Dime, but he can easily make it if he stays mentally strong and is resilient during the process of recovery. Undoubtedly, Dime is a resilient and determined puppy, he made an incredible recovery within a few days. However, his vision is blurry, but he could feel the love and care he missed during his days on the streets.
Over the days, he has developed into a lively puppy, pouring love to everyone in the form of kisses and cuddles. Maybe Dime knew that he was in safe hands and would never have to live on the streets again. Dime has become an epitome of happiness, inspiring many people to extend their helping hands for poor canines in need so that they could also get the life full of love and care.
