For some people, their kindness becomes most challenging. In the same narrative, Shaygam Newman has to struggle and pay for his kindness towards animals. Shaygam is a 23-year-old guy who has been rewarded with a family of dogs and cats but was kicked out of his house for helping animals.  

Fortunately, Shaygam was rewarded with an abundance of joy and love of animals. He expressed that he has a deep love for animals, and they are like his family.

According to the video, Shaygam resides with 21 rescued animals in Hangberg, a slum in Cape Town, South Africa. He has been saving abandoned dogs since the age of 10. 

However, he does not have enough resources for himself, he takes care of feeding and other requirements of stray dogs and cats.

He also collects donations from the members of his community.

Shaygam not only looks for his 21 dogs but also serves as an example for young guys, which is the most unsafe in all of Africa. 

Furthermore, he expresses that a lot of young guys come to him on weekends, and they go on walks together with the dogs. According to Shaygam, Gangsterism is prevalent in his neighborhood and which is why he keeps the young guys out of this.

Many teenagers and young children who would often be in terrible situations are now prospering in the company of Shaygam and his family of 21 dogs. There is a non-profit organization named DARG, with Shaygam also volunteers. This organization helps abused, ignored, and abandoned animals find new shelter homes in Hout Bay, Cape Town.
