Woman Rescues An Abandoned Dog Outside A Building And Discovers She Is Not The Only One

Donna Lochmann, a well-known animal rescuer, received a call informing them about an abandoned dog. They also told me that the dog was living all alone in an abandoned house in St. Louis. She immediately made her way to the house to assist the dog. After reaching the location, she started finding the dog and eventually located him outside the building, but the dog was not alone.

To Donna’s surprise, when she got there, the dog was not the only one. She also found two other puppies in the house. They seemed to be around 7 weeks old, living with their mama dog.

Donna said that it was easy to let the mama dog get into the car as if she knew that she was there to help her. But rescuing the two puppies was not easy because they were kept hidden in a hole underneath the ground. Perhaps mama dog found it the safest place for her babies.

Donna tried several times to grab the puppies by putting her arm in the hole. Finally, she was able to save one of the puppies, but the other one tried to bite her arm, unaware of the fact that she was aiding them. Donna knew that she had to try something else. Therefore, she put on thick gloves and then got the puppy out of that hole.

She kept them in the crate and rushed to the shelter home. Now the puppy seemed calmer after reuniting with their mother. After examining the dogs, vets stated that they were fine and healthy.

The mama dog was named Pumpkin, and her puppies were named Eckert and Stuckmeyer. Fortunately, they found their forever home with a loving family.
