Tiny Pet Undergo Neck Mass Can’t Breath And Had Been Dumped At Midnight

A tiny pet was found abandoned with a severe neck mass. The poor dog was dumped all alone at midnight, struggling to breathe when a lady found her and extended her helping hand. Fortunately, it was rescued in time, otherwise, it would have died there.

When the woman encountered the puppy, it was struggling to breathe and trying to escape the blanket in which it was wrapped. At first, she took the puppy, later named Joker, home but soon realized that the puppy needed help and brought it to the shelter.

The employees at the shelter were shocked when they examined the puppy. Not only Joker had internal injuries, but his throat was also choked due to some strange object that was lodged in his throat. He couldn’t even breathe properly. To assess his condition in depth, Joker was sedated and underwent a number of tests along with the CAAF. They also did a tomography scan to estimate the length of the object in his throat and discover the best surgical way to remove that. Despite his plight, Joker remained calm during the entire process.

An oncologist surgeon sent Joker for a CT scan for further treatment. His condition was deteriorating the following day, necessitating the ventilator. After analyzing the situation, they scheduled the operation for the next morning. Joker also had issues with anesthesia, hypertension, and the respiratory system that had increased the risk of the surgery procedure. His tongue was developing very large edema that blocked his mouth.

Vets said that his condition was not constant and the mechanical air flow posed a much greater risk to his life. As they were aware of the risk associated with surgery, they dropped the idea. However, they still had hope and pledged to engage in combat against death to ensure his victory.

Fortunately, Joker’s condition was improved than predicted, and was able to emerge from sedation. However, tracheostomy could still be dangerous as his lungs were producing several secretions. But Dr. Andreja was suggested to perform an urgent tracheostomy surgery to save his life and luckily, Joker was better after surgery. They took the help of a cannula to make his breathing easier and ultimately he was constant.

Joker was still under intense observation, including daily tube feedings and medication. It has been 21 days since his surgery and he is able to walk now. The best news is that many people were moved by Joker’s story and they want to give a permanent home to Joker.

Soon Joker will be transported to a beloved owner. We are thankful for the dedicated team of vets and the woman who saved Joker’s life by bringing him to the shelter.
