The Rare White-Faced Baby Deer, That Is Rescued After Being Abandoned By Its Mother

Mother care is necessary for all living beings, whether they’re humans or animals. It’s quite difficult for babies to survive without their mothers. Animals in the wild also cannot live without the care and protection of their mothers.

They have to struggle for food, water, and shelter and save themselves from predators and poachers. Some wild animals are rejected by their mothers, due to their poor health and distinct physical characteristics.

The reason behind this practice is that these kinds of babies stand out from the rest of their colony, therefore they are considered outcasts. They are also abandoned, due to their skin, hair, or distinct body patterns.

In today’s post, we’re going to introduce you to Dragon, a newborn deer, in the same situation. Its mother has abandoned it because of its white piebald face and belly.

This abandoned fawn was roaming around, and fortunately, he was noticed and saved by some caring folks at Deer Tracks Junction, an animal farm in Cedar Springs, Michigan.

The Dragon, a white-faced baby deer, spent his days at the farm. He was genuine and gentle of his kind and became the star soon.

The dragon was devoid of pigmentation due to piebald, and this caused some serious health issues in his body. He had been suffering from a weak immune system and poor health issues since his birth. His hearing ability and vision were also not as good as a mature deer’s.

Furthermore, the white-faced fawn can easily be spotted by predators in the wild. It must have been difficult for this priceless creature to survive in the wild.

But, Dragon couldn’t even celebrate his first birthday due to harsh circumstances. His serious health issues led him to death just a few days before his birthday.
