Phoenix, an Indian street dog, was in a really bad situation. She was almost drowning in a sewer drain and couldn’t save herself. But guess what? Animal Aid Unlimited came to her rescue in time and saved her life!

Phoenix had fallen into some water, and even though the water wasn’t very deep, she was so weak that she couldn’t keep herself from drowning. Her nose was going under the water, and she was really struggling. When the rescue team from Animal Aid Unlimited arrived, they saw that she was in danger, even though the water was only about a foot deep. She was in a bad condition, and if they had come just a few minutes later, she might not have made it. It turned out that she had a badly broken leg that was really hurt and infected. Maybe she got hurt by a car and ended up in the water to relieve herself.

They put her out of the water and took her to the hospital. Things were not looking in their favor as was getting very weak, her heartbeat was slow, and she was so cold. It seemed like she might not make it. But the rescue team didn’t give up on her. They knew she needed a big surgery to remove her hurt leg, but she was so weak that they had to be careful. They spend a few days making her stronger, giving her a nutritious diet and medicines to fight the infection and pain. Finally, three days later, they did the surgery. However, they were not sure about her recovery but there was no option left.

From the following day, Phoenix started feeling better. She had more energy, and she was so happy that she couldn’t stop wagging her tail and smiling. She expressed her gratitude to the people who were taking care of her in the form of snuggles and cuddles. It was incredible to see how much she had changed from a weak and struggling dog to a happy and strong one. Though her full recovery was much ahead, she is going to make it.
