Lioness Protecting A Baby Deer

Lioness Protecting A Baby Deer

A calm and lovely relationship between any ferocious animal and cute little deer is not acceptable at all. But a group of people witnessed this unlikely event in the Samburu National Reserve on the banks of the Ewaso Ng’iro river in Kenya.

This story is about a lioness protecting a baby deer in Samburu Game Reserve, Kenya. While hunting, the lioness approached a newborn oryx and she protected it as if it were her child. Lioness didn’t behave like she is not her real mother and showed her motherly instincts.

She also protected the baby oryx during heavy rain. Well, it might be a reason for the loneliness of the lioness, or she might not belong to any herd. She stayed with the baby for three days, and on the morning of the fourth day, the lioness went to discover some food. When the lioness was not there, the baby’s real mother returned.
