Andrew Klein, who works for the Santa Monica Fire Department, will always be remembered for his heroic deed. You will soon understand, why?

This story is about Marley, a tiny dog, and his mother, who live in an apartment building that caught fire earlier this week. Marley was trapped inside the building. Photographer Billy Fernando, who was just passing through, observed the firefighters at the sight and saw them rushing into the building engulfed in flames. He also saw life being saved at that point.

Fernando told The Dodo that when he was standing outside, he saw Mr. Klein, the firefighter, running towards the grassy area by the curb while holding something in his hands. At first, he couldn’t understand what it was but soon he realized that it was a pet that had been burned. The dog was lying and not moving at all. Klein stayed with the dog and started working to bring him life.

He was trying with an oxygen mask to bring the dog back to life but it seemed that more drastic steps were needed. Hence he started CPR on the pet without even thinking about it for a moment. Fernando added that it was an amazing moment that he had never seen before.

The owner of the lifeless dog also observed as the firefighter resumed his efforts to save him. She was horrified to see them as it was very new for her. She had a fear that her dog wouldn’t survive the life journey. Klein, despite being visibly weary and exhausted, refused to quit, stated Fernando.

Furthermore, Fernando said that he is proud of the Santa Monica Fire Department and the whole team who handled the situation nicely.
