Abandoned Kitten Comes Running Out Of Bushes When She Hears The Calls Of A Kind Woman

When Raney called the cat, the abandoned kitten immediately came running out of the bushes.

Maci Raney was out on a stroll when she heard something unusual in the parking lot of a local Tractor Supply store. She tried to discover where the voice was coming from, and a pale meow made her turn around. She spotted a tabby kitten under the bushes of the parking lot. When she approached the kitten, she got to know that there was no mama cat in sight.

Raney explained in a TikTok video that when she called her, the abandoned kitten immediately ran to her as if the universe had already told her that she was there to rescue her. Raney scooped up the kitten and brought her home in her car. The kitten immediately relaxed in her hands and began making heartwarming noises.

Raney told The Dodo that she was covered in fleas with matted eyes and dirt in all her hair even though she was cute enough to captivate hearts. Raney named the kitten, Biscuit, and gave her a flea bath. She cleaned her eyes and started giving her treatment for her eye and ear infections.

Raney introduced Biscuit with other members of the family including two dogs, cats, chickens, and ducks. It seemed like Biscuits had no problem fitting into this new family and greeted everyone with a cute smile. To make sure if Biscuit was owned by someone or if any of her siblings missed there, Raney went back to Tractor Supply to double-check. She also asked in the neighborhood for another abandoned sibling or mama cat, but there was no one.

Furthermore, she said that Biscuit was looking completely different and cuter on her second day, after her second flea bath.

Raney also took an appointment with the vet to make sure that everything was fine with Biscuit- and got some bad news. The kitten tested positive for feline leukemia, which is a fatal disease in cats, affecting their immune system. The most important thing to keep in mind is that FeLV is transmittable to other cats through saliva. Raney was worried about her health and that of the other cats as well as she had to keep Biscuits away from other cats. She also decided to figure out the best way to treat Biscuit’s disease, but without moving for further treatment, she researched thoroughly.

After asking a couple of vets, she got to know that sometimes it’s possible to have a false report, especially when the kitten is very young. Biscuits were hardly 3 to 4 weeks old, and it could happen that her mother’s antibodies were still in Biscuit’s body resulting in a positive report. And that’s exactly what it was because her PCR blood test was negative for FeLV. Now Biscuit can live her life happily and make friends with other pets in the house. Raney was also relieved to know this.

Within a few days, Biscuits has settled into her life with new friends and a loving mom. Now Biscuit is not an abandoned kitten, she has her best friend- Lola, another cat, and loves to go on car rides with everyone.
